Here's where to ask any unorthodox questions you have regarding the tournament. Moving a match, requesting a sub, really just about anything you would need to ask us about to help get you through the tournament, just make a post and we'll sort it out to the best of our ability.

The Semi-finals will take place on Sunday 20 July, 5:00 PM EST using the 2 highest placing teams from each group in group play.

The finals will be scheduled to be played on Saturday 26 July, 5:00 PM EST.

Anti Hero said Monday was fine. Now, I am not entirely sure what time, as I may or may not have to work Monday. If we can get everyone on today then we can play it then, but I know that Anna can't make it and I'm not sure about Comon because he was at his grandma's house yesterday so idk when he will be back. I can play except from 5-8:30 (work) and I can play after. So, let's try and play today if at all possible. BTW, we were all on yesterday, and I was in contact with Voliminal, then he left to go to iJohn's house and I didn't talk to Anti Hero until 1 AM or something like that.

Well for future reference, Anti Hero is participating in this tournament, which means he has no authority for approving, adjusting, or ruling on anything in the tournament (conflict of interest) He is, however, able to approve for his team to play you earlier than the scheduled time in accordance with the rules and then you may both report the results. And since Anti Hero is his team leader it is his responsability to report in here if he's fine with a reschedule.

You are not approved yet to play on Monday, if I hear from both team captains with an agreed upon time then and only then will it be approved.

This is a warning for future reference, if the matches are not reported within the time frame in the rules (12 hours) and there has been no other ruling by Khaos or myself you will both be awarded a forfeit.

@ Dead, are you complaining about the 5:00 match time, or about a rescheduled time?

I would like to apologize for my absence. I have looked forward to this tourney for weeks now. Over the 4th of July weekend my stepmom died in a car wreck :( I've been out of town because of that. I got in last night at about 11 pm mountain. Now my step brothers biological father wants to get his two boys which we can't stop because my dad never actually adopted them. We find ourselves fighting an uphill battle which is going to be very time consuming as well.

I don't think I will be able to really schedule game play as things are very chaotic at the moment. I must regretfully bow out of this tourney. I will still find time to play as it helps me get away from things so I hope to still play with some of you. Again I apologize to all the teams for not getting a shot at rolling us :P

Team Leaders are free to approve a match between their teams at any time if they want, as long as the scheduled teams play against each other it doesn't matter when they play, so if your team captains can agree on when to play then you could play tonight.

I don't have any subs available, but if anyone is interested just contact Payne or Razor to let them know that you're interested and then have them post it up here :D

It's not that big of a request, if all teams can agree then no problem, if they can't then will you be back within one week?

I wouldn't see a problem with waiting one week to do the matches if everyone's okay with it. So you guys can either come up w/ a plan to do them early, or you have one week to schedule a match time.

If you're going to push it late then I'm only going to move your semi-final match which means you'll only need approval from one team, and we'll just move the finals back a week ;)

I saw this the other day and didn't get the chance to say anything because my internet has been really slow or not working at all. Last time I talked to Flea he said he wasn't feeling good and that was on the 13th. So I don't know whats going on with him. I am fine with playing tomorrow or the next day but will need a sub for Flea. Im sure I can get Tokes to sub for him if thats ok with you. Better give Exane till Thursday tho I have a feeling he is going to have one hell of a hangover mayhaps lol. :p

Well here's the problem, Payne can't play on the reschedule day... Flea is MIA... Shadow's unavailable... so what should I do? If I extend the deadline till next week, then Payne would not be available for the finals day... so do I punish someone available for what we've scheduled NOW, or do I punish someone who's not available for the scheduled days and a team that's MIA?

Shadows team will have to find a sub and There Was Nothing By My Feet will have to find one. The finals are still scheduled for tomorrow because I can't reschedule them and punish Payne's team who are good to go this week.

However, if you guys wanted to play a 2v2 against each other to deal w/ the missing leaders situation I'm fine with that, but the winning team would need to find a sub for the finals tomorrow.

If both teams can't come to a solution, then the winner of the other semi-final match will simply be the winning team through disqualification.

Hmm, your team was DQ'd because you failed to participate in your scheduled match. There was no reschedule posted by ANY member of your team. There was a request from Shadow, but nothing had been changed. The other teams couldn't reschedule, which I'd already explained.

You're telling me that your team captain told you to find multiple subs on Saturday night for a match which was scheduled to be played by Saturday at 5:00 pm.

Your "team" needed to substitute two people in order to play their match which was a possability and previously scheduled 3 weeks prior, and then your team personally knew the date and teams involved 1 week in advance.

And your team captain is your TEAM CAPTAIN. If you want me to send notifications to some other member of your team... you know, someone in charge of it, then you need to message me and tell me that someone else is the new team captain... or just choose one who keeps you in the loop.

This is why we have team captains, to make it simpler for everyone, to establish a chain of authority. Your team captain speaks for you, and we speak to them.

It sounds to me like the failure here was your team, the tournament structure worked fine.

So here's to another failure of a team.

But maybe you're right, Comon. Maybe expecting site members to organize and play one match a week for a month is too much to ask from them. Maybe the members aren't able to do it. Maybe we shouldn't have tournaments since Comon's team screwed themselves over. Poor poor Comon, they didn't get to play because none of them were on. Let's all cancel the tournaments since teams that have issues playing in them can't play in them.

But wait... let's look at Flea's team... Flea, the team captain, has gone MISSING. So what happened? Did they get DQ'd? No, they got a sub, and Boss stepped up for his team in taking over the role of team captain. Oh, and look, they came in second place.

They had the same problem your team had, Comon, and they managed to fix it because Boss stepped up and did what needed to be done to keep them playing their games.

So maybe it's not the tournaments that failed, Comon. Maybe it's you.
