I was just wondering if on the home page site, for each individual game we could have somewhere where it states who was the first person on this site to complete that game (who was the first person to request a completion badge for that game). I believe the list of names in the completion badge page are in order of who first rquested one, but i am not sure, so it should not be to hard to find out who was first. However it does seem like it will take along time, anyways I just thought I would ask.

While I think it's a cool idea...a lot of our data is wrong.

When we went live with the completion badges we added them in straight order. Which means I would get credit for completing games before a lot of people and that's just not the case.

I would assume the only time the completion badges are 100% correct is when it's a new release.

Let me know what everyone else thinks.

I like the idea. I think it would really cause some people to complete a game faster so they could be #1 on the list.

As how the list is now, it's first come first serve right? I know whenever I complete Lego Indy, that I was second only to Crash cause it completed it first.

The idea seems pretty cool, but like Code said it would only really work for new games, so there is really no point. Instead of making something on the main site you could just put something like the number one, on the first person to request a completion badge.

I realised it would only work best for new games, games people have not completed yet and games with only a few people have completed. However with the older games which quite a few people have completed some people might not get the credit but it is still better then nothing I dont think that many people will complain.

Maybe there can be a bonus or contests for popular games. 1st to 1k wins...

Just wondering if you mods and admins have thought about implementing my idea yet or scrapping it?

We haven't had a staff meeting as of yet but we'll let you know when we do.

I personally like the idea, but think it's a bit too much work. With a lot of games, you can't really tell who did it first. You may post that you did it first, get the badge and the recognition, then I post that I beat it that same day, and have the proof (date stamp on achievements). So now who beat it first? I can say I beat it at 10:00am and you could say 9:00am, but you can't prove that...so it comes down to someone's word...Then you'd have someone that joins the site, and does his time, gets his 50 posts, then he requests it and he beat it the same day...so its not the easiest of quandaries to figure out...

Like I said, I like the idea, but its just not feasible in my mind

Download Greasemonkey for firefox and then achievements are timestamped to the minute and then you know who finished first.... (great way to verify cheaters too)

But either way, it's still a lot of someones time to verify. And what about someone who is new to the site with new completion badges and they might have finished first on some, is someone going to go through their tag to check? Again a lot of work.

I like the idea but I'm in agreement that it would be too much to maintain.

I realise it will be hard to do it for the older games which several people have completed but you could leave them, but it could be done easily with games which only a few people have completed, new games or games no one has completed yet. I think it should be done on who requested the completion badge first not on time dates because it is about who on the site completed it first not who completed in the world first.

Thats why it should be done on who asked for the completion badge first and not time stamps, if someone new comes to the site and completed 'x' game before the 'x' member who was the first to get the completion badge then they should not get credit because they werent part of the site when they completed it and therefore was not the first member of the site to complete it first. Once the first person has asked for the completion badge they will be the first person on the site to complete the game and thats it, first come first served.
