Who else was really surprised that the Red Sox did really trade away Manny??

Griffey to the the White Sox the day after Pudge gets into pinstripes!!!

The dodgers did get alot better with this trade. Now, they atleast have a good bat in the middle of their line-up. Only time will tell which of these trades helped teams win the world series.

I wasnt all to suprised at the Manny trade, they've been talking about it for awhile this year, and in past seasons as well.

I was pretty shocked about the Griffey trade.(Since the White Sox are my favorite team. ;)) But ive been wondering where he is going to play since their outfield is pretty good right now. But they did talk about moving Griffey to the White Sox in 2006 i believe, but that never happened.

I'm honestly super pissed about Griffey moving over. He is my favorite player and I never even wanted him to leave Seattle. Cincy was a great fit and I had hoped he would end his career there. Hopefully he doesn't turn into a Frank Thomas and fade into the DH nothingness...

The Manny thing doesn't really surprise me. The BoSox are great at ruining players careers and downplaying how big a role they have played in their organization (see: Nomar and Pedro....remember them?).

I don't follow this sport all that closely, but I do follow Griffey and I must say I'm surprised and saddened by it all.

I thought Griffey would stay in Cincy till his end too... Manny is a good hitter but most games I watch he doesnt seem to do much defensive wise but regardless he was a great asset to the team.

Off Topic: Anyone remember the game Ken Griffeys Jr. Baseball for the N64? I loved that game

Turbo, I'm a huge Red Sox fan, but I'm kinda glad that they finally pulled the trigger. Manny started this whole thing last sunday by going to espn and saying that if the red sox wanted to trade him that he would accept a trade. There was no talk up to that point about them trading him. He brought this upon himself. Saying just yesterday that the team was trying to make him look like the bad guy, but every year he acts like this around this time of the year. Yes, he helped win 2 championships in the last 4 years, but finally manny is be manny in LA. Let them have the headache. He only started this whole thing because he didn't want the red sox to pick up his option at the end of the year. If they would have, then he wouldn't have become a free agent. He was due to make 20 million if they picked it up.

As for Griffey, I kinda wish the red sox would have traded for him, but they didn't so like turbo said, hope he doesn't end up like thomas, but I think both will make it to the hall of fame.

Griffy is a much better athelete than Frank Thomas and Ozzy has already said he'll play center.

The White Sox and the Dodgers are both stacked in the outfield now.

Everyone knows he's a better athlete. I'm just hoping he doesn't fizzel with the Sox like Thomas did. He had some great seasons in like 93-94...then dropped off the planet. He went to the B-Jays and then kind of disappeared. Is he still there DH or did he retire?

And Griffey would be the all-time homerun king had he not been so injury stricken his entire career.

What about Pudge going to the pinstripes?!? And what happens next season when Posada is off the DL? They have 2 all-star catchers....hmm...Stupid Yankees.

Pudge's contract is up at the end of the year, and Frank Thomas is back with the A's he's been injured but is back now.
