View Full Version : Bernie Mac dies at the age of 50

Fox News just reported that the comedian/actor Bernie Mac has died. According to his publicist he had been battling a bout of pneumonia and a chronic lung condition. He had been in recovery of the pneumonia however has suddenly died.

I was never a fan of him but its sad to hear that he died.

Yea I just read this on Yahoo's Home Page. I couldn't believe it when I saw this. He was a good actor and comedian. And it's definitely sad to see someone like him die so early.

He will definitely be missed.

First Carlin now Bernie Mac? I loved Bernie, I even used to watch his crappy sitcom on Fox before it got cancelled. This sucks.

Yeah I just saw this on the Yahoo! homepage whenI woke up and it sucks. I used to watch his show every once in while. Sad to see him go he was very funny

First Carlin now Bernie Mac? I loved Bernie, I even used to watch his crappy sitcom on Fox before it got cancelled. This sucks.

It ran for 5 seasons and Bernie got nominated a couple of times for lead character in it.

"I'm the Pappy" from Life, was possibly the funniest moment I ever seen him in. He will be missed....

I too watched the Bernie Mac show, I have a few seasons on DVD...

I still have hope for good comedy as long as Denis Leary's around :).

That really sucks about Bernie Mac though -- he was great.

Agreed. Even though I think his "your hands are nice and supple" was even funnier. To me that'll always be his best part.

I also liked him in Kings of Comedy. Actually...he's the only act I thought was funny on that show.
