Last few months weve watched these,

Open season,
Surfs up,
Mr beans holiday,
Simpsons movie.

I cant think of any others at the moment.

I can't think of any other recent movies other than those, but a lot of family movies these days come up with humor for more mature audiences in the form of innuendos. For example, watching Ice Age and Ice Age 2 with my little cousin is quite bareable because they make some little jokes that kids don't understand, but is still mildly adult humor.

Some other good family movies have come from the Shrek series. Other than that, I can't remember all that much at the moment.

How about Ratatouille?
I haven't watched it yet but going to tonight, and it looks pretty good for a family film.

Yeah, Ratatouille is a good movie. But, The Simpsons movie for kids? What kind of kids are we talking here? I don't think 4 and 5 year olds should be watching Otto take a bong hit at the end. Maybe some older kids like passed 10 at least.

But hmmm I'll list some:

The Incredibles
All the Shrek's
Evan Almighty
Any Dr. Sesus movie
High School Musical(my little sister loves that and watches it all the time)
A Bug's Life
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Pretty much any Disney/Pixar movie will be fine.

All I got for right now.

Avoid Bridge of terabithia,
From the adverts it seems like a Lord of the rings for kids,
it turns out its a pile of cack with a long boring story.

Almost anything Disney should be added in there. The classics are definate (Beauty and the Beast (how gay am I?!), Bambi etc.)

Don't forget The Fox and the Hound. Someone in my nursery was scared of that, and I kept forgetting. Everytime I took it in, we couldn't watch it.

Keep an eye out for Coraline. It was written by Neil Gaiman as a children's book (the same writer of Stardust). The movie is doing as a stop action style of animation and should be pretty good.

Newer animations that we've had movie nights for with other parents that were big hits were: (in my order of preference)

Flushed Away
Meet The Robinsons
Ant Bully

I would definitely recommend those 3 animations and my daughter really liked Underdog as well which just came out on DVD in December.
