storyline and playability for me.
The graphics will always impress me but if the game's crap and doesn't catch my imagination and attention, the graphics won't keep me playing.

I agree I would say storyline and playability because i'm not really concerned about graphics I mean I like good graphics but I wouldn't say they are a necessity...my brother would say otherwise because he whines about split-screen making the graphics worse which makes me mad

Graphics and playability. I admit I am a little bit of a graphics whore and of course a game that looks and plays great is the best combo for me. Storyline is really only important to me in an RPG. Obviously in racing games and stuff that I don't care at all if a game has a storyline. Actually I tend to dislike when racing games like NFS try to add a story.

The graphics mean nothing to me if the storyline and gameplay are crap.

Between those two? I don't.

Graphics can suck as long as the game's fun.

Storyline is completely ignorable if the game's fun.

Personally I look for:

Controls,
Fun,
Replayability, and
Multiplayer.

I don't care if a game looks like ass, if it's fun I'll play it. I don't care if a game has a great storyline, if I don't ever want to play it again I won't buy it.

Basically, I like a game that I can play for a few months before I grow tired of it.

Tough to say, acually.

Storyline is important, but I realize I play some games with little to no storyline, but excellent playability, where some games have a combo of both [Half-Life 2, for instance]. Yet a game with a good story and crappy playability doesn't appeal to me either, so it has to be a combo of both. Graphics are nice, yet I still go back to older game, such as N64, which look terrible in many cases, but are great fun.

Storyline and playability.

I dont really want to play a game with horrible graphics. But they should be decent.

I can't get enough of games with a good storyline.

Story> Gameplay> Replay Value> Multiplayer> Sound> Graphics.

That's how I evaluate games. :D

Seems most of you all feel the same. I completely agree, its all about the story. Shit if i cant get into the game then what good is it. Graphics are important and all but they have to come second to story. Story is the first and most important thing when it comes to a game imo. That doenst mean you will see me playing ps1 games 4 the story though. I have to draw the line somewhere ;)
