go to www.h2hgsl.com to see the Score-A-Lots vs. The Dream Team in the 2nd Season Playoffs.

Why should this matter to you heroes? Well, because when Season 3 begins in 2008, it will be a Console Heroes event!

So, for now, I'm just teasing you.

If anybody knows Zakke Wylde, send him my condolensces, because Staillion83 was waiting for the playoffs to play his easy games.

I'm surprised Stallion had any easy games left!

I think he let Zakke get within 2000 points, and I'm sure he was salivating over the thought of being #1....

Cracks me up to think about it.

Zakke doesn't have more easy games to play? I'm sure he could get within 2k again if he wanted. Maybe he is waiting to get close to the 200k mark.

All I know is that such large scores are just over my head anyways. :p I'm very interested in the CH hero you speak of CC. Waiting until 2008 isn't so bad.

I'm so damn burned out from gaming that hard all weekend. Dream Team FTMFW!!!! They posed one hell of a threat and gave us quite a scare at the end...we were only up by 150 pts at 3pm lol.

Yea, sorry if I came off as a dick. Just saying he could probably pull out some easy ones but Stallion is up by like 8k+ so he has a good lead. Is there a timeframe it is coming here???

P.S Did Dream Team win??

Hell Yes we won. By almost 2500. Final scores were roughly 24500-22000. Crazy 4 days of gaming.

March 08. It's all still in the works but that is the month it is slated to start.

OK, that gives me a month between GSLs. This is gonna be sick.

That is the same for some other people here. Can't wait for this thought it is gonna be great competition.

Season 3 will start March 2008. The set up will take place in February.

Tripl299 is my main helper, but I will be looking for other interested parties to help out when the time comes.

The only real change with the league coming here is that the recruiting process should be much easier.

You have to understand, as an independent thing, I had to recruit 40 elite level gamers (no gamesavers, thank you), to field enough teams.

Coming here, we'll not only get many folks from the boards to join, but we will bring in excellent gamers from the outside who are veterans to the league.

In the end, everybody wins... except all the teams that lose to the champion. This season we had a couple people hit 100,000 during league play, maybe six or seven legit 100,000 gamers involved, plus lots of highly skilled dudes who sacrficed their high completion percentage to blow out points.

That final score you read- was the result of six on six play with only four players on each team having the option of scoring unlimited points. THAT was a sick score, no matter how you look at it.

My goal is to get the Dream Team crew back together again, get the Score-A-Lots back at it, get many of you guys on board, and try to get some real heated rivalries with some of Xbox Live's top gamers.

Keep in mind, this is a hardcore gamer event and isn't for everybody... but any team of dedicated people that work together... has a chance.

Oh CC, you KNOW i'm in for another season with the DT. This thing can only flourish being backed by a website.

Like he said to everyone who is interested, this is for HARDCORE gamers. If you want to compete, you need to be willing to score 2K pts 3 straight days on some occasions. It'll be a blast nonetheless!

Blind Rage
12-18-2007, 12:34 AM
Will the team size change??

cc99999
12-18-2007, 12:50 AM
no, it is a 4 man team format

we can add teams, if there's enough interest. I wanted to do 12 teams of 4 last time but only got 40 people on board.

Essentially, the schedule would look like this

Monday-Wednesday (off)
Thursday through Sunday head to head matches against two different teams.

To win, your team needs only score more points than the competition. There's absolutely no need at all to run up the score, as you are wasting points you will need later in the season.

The season will last 8 weeks, with a total of 16 matches. Then a two round playoffs.

Also, unlike most leagues where most gamers cannot particapte because if you aren't on a great team it's over...

The Head 2 Head League has a post season draft, where the four playoff teams draft the best gamers from the non-contending team to augment them during the post season.

This makes the playoff roster size 6 per team...

The March Season will be Season 3 for this league.

I could design some graphics if you wanted...;)

Also, am I reading all this right that ALL of the spring 08 contenders will be members of x3h or what?

When the season started 30 of the players had 70k or higher.

And the rest had over 50k? :o

I'll be interested once it starts up though.

it is not my intention to make the league exclusive to members of this site. the site will be better off if the league is open to all qualified parties...

HOWEVER- I will not allow participants of this league to join any other leagues, period.

these people will, in all likelihood join the site, because it will be the best community site on the net by March.

Blind Rage

I think they should have to be members...

The very nature of the GSL should get the participants to sign up. How else would they communicate with their team?

I was just following up on the fact that cc got probably the top players in the world initially. Alot of them flaked out and quit early on. Teams were responsible for finding replacements. I think there were some around the 15k range. cc can correct me but as far as I know only one team didnt have a replacement by the end of the season.

If you have a compelling reason for them to contribute they will... that compelling reason is a good community. The league is meant to bring the best gamers in the world together to compete... let's not sacrifice the quality of competition for simple aesthetic purposes.

That's very X360A.

I don't think there should be a required amount. Just they should be signed up. I don't think it would hurt anyone.

This league, was the most fun I have had scoring points, since the day I bought my 360. I got to meet or play with some of the most elite gamers in the world!
In the end, I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure everyone was a little burned out by the time the finals rolled around.
Next season is gonna be great with the new scheduling, allowing days off in between matches.
Hopefully next time, I can get my own team into the finals, lol.

Well my team kicked me out of the other site GSL so that meens 2 things:

I won't be burned out for this GSL.
I'm a full consolehero now, CH be the only site for me. :)
