All images/works to be posted in one thread/gallery.
If you want to post your own Tutorials, PM a Media Guru (JJ UK (http://www.consoleheroes.com/forums/member.php?u=107), Brighton X (http://www.consoleheroes.com/forums/member.php?u=101)) first.
Keep all criticism constructive and helpful.
Do not post "Thank you", "No problem", or "Can you change ___". Keep all of that to PMs.
Please do not use any copyrighted materials without permission from the original artist - this includes Deviant art pieces.
Do not post pictures that stretch the forum with ConsoleHeroes Wide skin active. If you do, your work will be edited out and a link to the artwork will be put in it's place.
If you want to post artwork for Comments and Criticisms, post it in the Show Off Your Creativity! (http://www.consoleheroes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2182) Thread or your gallery.
Anyone is aloud to post a Media Gallery, but the Title must be "<USERNAME>'s Gallery" (Example: Brighton's Gallery), If you do not do this your gallery will be renamed with no prior warning.
If you are commenting on someone's artwork, quote it to avoid confusion.
Do not post your own art in another member's Gallery.These rules are subject to change at any time for any reason, please keep up to date with them.

i made my first sig at school in like 20 mins its crappy but i was just going to use it as a temporary sig or maybe just add on or renew it but i can't seem to be able to put it as my sig

Every time i try to upload it nothing comes up so i can't up load it for some reason

EDIT: I found the reason why i just don't know how to do it....how do i change it from a psd file to a jpg file (i only have psd at school not at home)

Help! I made a new avatar today. Regardless of whether I hosted it through Photobucket or directly uploaded it, the image appears with a goofy cream background that is NOWHERE in my original image. How can I fix this so that the image appears larger and without that stupid background?

Try saving it as a .gif. That would get rid of the backround.

As for the size, just resize the main image in photoshop...

You had it in the center of a transparent background....so you had this huge transparent background around it. I just cropped it down to the actual image.

It's my actual eye (iris and pupil) on a wooden pick on a curly walnut background. I saw someone else with an eye on a pick for an avatar and thought I'd make my own.

OK guys. I'm on this fantastic new site. I have my very first gamercard all done and ready to go. BUT when I tried to click the "create card" button, nothing happened. It's as if the button has a dead link in it. When I mouse over it, it acts clickable. And when I click, nothing happens...


PLEASE HELP!!!

Hmm happened to me once with 2 of my 3 cards. I had to redo em. Sry Euphoric. Try contactin Sivil on here or on gcdesiner. He may know something that we don't.

Yeah, I tried refreshing the page...bad idea. Had to redo the whole card, but thankfully it's pretty basic. It worked now. I'll be posting it shortly. Thanks for the input!

No prob Euphoric! I did the same thing and refreshed:p lol Anyways I saw your card and it is pretty nice! I gotta get into making my sigs/cards all circular like(e.g. edges and whole card in general). Do your tuts cover any of it?

JJ has a tut up for making rounded glass objects. I just used that as a basis. For the weird shape, I used the Warp Tool to manipulate the basic shape. If I get some spare time tomorrow I'll work out a tut for the gamercard image. If you want, add me on msn or whatever. I can try to help you step-by-step.

Anyone know why my avatar still has the white parts even thought i saved it as a .png?

Because you need to delete the white in the .psd, so it just appears as a grey/white checkered backround. Then save as .png or .gif and it should be transparent.

i had this trouble its something to do with the cache memory or something (photoshop remembers what was there before you erased it and keeps it in the save file for some reason).. if you were to merge all the layers and copy and paste it onto a transparent background on a new photoshop file (file>new make sure transparent is selected in drop down menu.) the save as .png.. it should work

That's really weird, the checkered background is supposed to be just a representation of transparancy, that photoshop is interpreting them as actual pixels is just messed up.

I'd be happy to fix the image for you, but I imagine you want your photoshop fixed as well.

1) No.
2) When I do save as, there is no box, but it is checked when I do "Save for web..." and still won't work.

CS3 or PS? I'm using 7 for this, but tried it in my dodgy version of CS3 and it still didn't work.

This is pretty strange. If you want to get rid of the white borders immedietly, you can use this:

But I suppose we should try and figure out what the problem is... Try saving as .gif, the quality will decrease but just see if the transparency works.

The one I am now using (as of this post) is a .gif. Still the same. :( I'll PM the .psd to Code and see if he can sort it. I'll use that if he can't get it to work, Josef.

I couldn't even get the fist to look good on one of my avatard lol.

My suggestion is that maybe you should just restart and make a new one then try saving it again.
