I just thought I'd suggest a few minor things and see how you guys felt.

I am just *requesting* that more smilies be added. Some people may want to use them, including me. This is just a request.

Also, I think that it would be neat if the top 5 people with most completion badges got a section. I mean we have top HP and top posters, why not top completion badges? ;)

And I really was wondering what the deal is with rep. Is there an FAQ thread on what that's all about, because I couldn't find it.
There have been several occasions that I have left good rep on the forums to someone who made a good post. (And apparently someone did so for me too  so yeah...)

That's about it for right now. So, thoughts?:p

There's a thread explaining the rep system but I can't find. I'm still searching and i'll update when I can find it...

I would also agree with the Completion Badge thing too. A top 5 would be nice and shouldn't be too hard...Hopefully Code can fit it in his busy schedule.

Can you change it so when we click on someones gamercard under there user info, that is goes to a new window/tab instead of exiting CH?

If thats possible.. Might just be me..

The completion badge top 5 is definitely on my list. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Never noticed that before. Will do!

I'll see what I can do. I'll definitely add it to my list of things.

For some reason there is no default FAQ for reputation as far as I can tell. I'll see if I can find something to add.

Basically it's a way to reward people for making informative and thoughtful posts...other than HP. If you see someone making a good point or going out of their way to help people then you can give them rep points. As you get higher in points in you get more squares and a different title. You can see the title by hovering over the reputation squares.

I've enabled it out of curiosity for the most part. If people abuse it, it will be turned off.

It's what I do when I'm using a mouse, but most of the time I'm on touchpad, so yanno.

Were you already planning on doing all these things, or did I actually do something good? I can't tell. :p
Those were just some things that I was curious about. The main reason I bring smilies up is so I can put a little thread about them. And if we get some of the ones I'm hoping for, I'll show you what I mean. ;)

Pig, when you do something good... don't ask if you did something good. Someone will mention it ;)

No it's not like that, I was just wondering if I actually brought up stuff that wasn't already in the works. I tend to do that a lot. :p
So yeah, get smilies. Lol. :D jk, no rush at all.

Is there a way that we can show more (recently posted questions / posts ) on game threads. Just seams that if someone posts in a certain category it overrides anyones elses call for help. When i scroll across (games) I only see last posted posts. Which canceled out anyones prelastpost post. feel me.? I'm only seeks out quick reference on ALL games. Not last post.

I go to Links, then Today's Posts. It's the easiest way to follow what has been most recently posted. Hopefully that helps.

Just seems unnatural . Seeing all last posts for all games should be the focus.

Originally the games sections were set up like the general forums were allowing to see each last post for that particular game forum. The issue was that is expanded the list so freaking long it was unreal. So to shorten it up we merged the game forums into genres which only shows the thread title of the last post in that entire genre.

I get what you're saying though, it might be something we could explore by adding a specific forum skin maybe? (Question for Code)

Or go to search, and then go to new posts... then you get all the posts that have been updated since the last time you logged on (or if you've been inactive for a while) and you can keep scrolling down... gives you all the recent posts in chronological order... and nothing that you've already seen all the posts in ;)

This may be something that we can look into down the line.

But what I do is click on New at the top. That's all posts since I last looked at the thread. When I open up the ones I want, I think click Links -> Mark Forums Read...then you'll never see the ones you didn't want to deal with. Unless of course someone posts in there again.

This is a great way to keep up with everything that has to do with the site.

Well, for me being just an average member, I like to just check the forums of the games I'm playing at the moment. I check RB, Halo 3, and then some off-topic, suggestions, and announcements.

Every now and then I'll dip into the entertainment boards and suh though.
But basically, any other possible way of searching for posts has been mentioned already, so I think problem solved right? ;)

The best way to do that, if you're using Firefox, is to save all of those forums as bookmarks in the same folder. Go to your bookmarks and right click on that folder and select Open All In Tabs.
