A Waste of Space?

What is this crap and is it just taking up precious space on my hard drive??? HELP!

That the Java runtime stuff... lets say you go to Youtube, Myspace videos or whatever you have to have that install on your computer in order to watch those videos. Many things actually run Java from straight out programs to embedded items on websites such as videos, games, and things of that nature.

Not wasted space, many websites make use of these files. You might be able to delete the older versions, though I've personally never have, I just let them accumulate.

Don't delete. Clipse was almost correct. He was thinking of Javascript...which doesn't need these.

These are required to run compiled Java applets. You'll use them.
