I absolutely love this game but at times I just find myself wanting to play something else? Maybe because it's the same thing no matter what mission you are doing????

It gets so damn repetitive after awhile. Once you beat the game and you are looking for flags, if you get in a fight and you're surrounded by 10+ guys, you're just like you've got to be kidding me....I love it but I want it to be over.

I swear I have never wanted to smash my controller as much as when I play this game. Like when holding down RT and I go to counter or break the grab, it doesn't work and I die. Or while climbing I just randomly let go and fall to my death. Or those stupid guys in town that just grab you or knock you over. They only ever do it when I am running from the cops. Whatever though.

lol I printed out every one of the maps and just crossed off the list once i got it. Made it tons easier than following the maps alone.

Adam, before you sell it, let me just borrow it. I loaned you Madden 08 for a day :) You owe me.

haha touche. Doug wanted to finish it as well so I won't be selling it for a week or 2. I may have to bum Scene It off you for an afternoon.
@ Nate. Once you finish it....you'll start playing something else but wish you were slaughtering more people. I've been playing Winning Eleven for the past 5 hours and all I want to do is play Assassin's Creed haha.

If Adam ends up selling it before you get a chance to play I will let you borrow mine if you want. I am almost done actually beating the game then I have to go back and get missed achievements. Give me one more day to beat and then maybe 2 or 3 days to get the missed achievements. I am not sure though. I don't get too much time to play since the girls are running my life now:D

I think the reason it feels so boring after a while is you have no incentive, even with huge maps, and free roam, you hav already explore nearly the whole game just running away and searching fro viewpoints.

Is it really that repetitive? Ive been wondering if i should buy this game and the only bad thing ive heard about it is the story...

Yes it's really repetitive, depends on the person wether that bothers you or not though.
I think the best comparison is Tenchu, if you like that but on a larger scale you may like this.

And assassins creed is a 100 times better looking and plays 100 times better than tenchu! Definatly worth a rental ;)

I enjoyed playing this game. It was repetitive but i didn't find it like "OMG when is this gonna end, this is so boring" kinda thing. The last 2 missions are really cool. I enjoyed them.

Just wait until you're on your 3rd playthrough, I was bored to tears by then.

If you don't go for achievements its really not bad at all and you can beat in about 6 or 7 hours. I went back through it a few days ago and i didn't do anything except for the missions i had to do to complete the assassinations, i really was a blast. You can really appreciate all the cool systems, like how beautiful the combat and climbing systems really are if your not preoccupied with the flags and other shit like saving all of the civilians.

I didn't mind how repetitive it got, cause I just loved the visuals. The flags were the only dissappointment. I'm giving it a break then do it again for 'Conversationist' achievement.

Really? I played the first mission on my old account and hated it, i used to love the old tenchu games though. The 360 version just seemed lame, maybe i should have gave it more time.

I hated the combat based last missions. No offense but they can kiss my balls. All it came down to is whether or not I could counter and do it twice to kill them.

The storyline got a bit repetative but that was not so much of a problem for me, however when it got to the end i found it was geting a little to repetative.
So to awnser the original qustion yes, but only after a while of playing it
