Director Michael Bay has revealed that the sequel to Transformers will feature lot of new, unique robots. Bay wrote on his personal web site:

Transformers 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really really unique and there are a lot of them this time.

Well before the first movie hit theaters, the film makers let slip that that Dinobots and Constructicons may be some of the groups that will appear in a potential sequel. A short video clip found on www.sectorseven.org, (enter "codeblack," click on the red hard drive, choose the N.B.E. 08 file) shows Dinobots leader Grimlock in his T-Rex form, crushing everything on his path. The excavator on the left could be Scavenger, from the Constructicons.

Futhermore, producer Tom DeSanto said in an interview that he has "a very cool idea on how to intro the Dinobots and Constructicons."

Considering the ending of the first movie, we are pretty sure that we'll get to see Shockwave and otherrobots that have survived at Cybertron. What Autobots and Decepticons characters would you like to see in Transformers 2?

I've yet to watch the first one. Why you ask? Because Michael Bay thought it would be cool to fuck Megatron up and turn him into an alien craft instead of a pistol... I grew up on that, I like the original and when I found out about that little change I said "piss on Michael Bay and that movie".

The only thing I didn't like about Transformers was that it was not supposed to be bumblebee I think it should have been hotshot. Either way im glad they are incorporating the other robots into the second movie

I found out why bumblebee wasn't a vw bug on the movie. GM paid to have all of the robots be gm cars & trucks. the only one that wasn't gm was barricade. He was a ford mustang.

I can understand why megatron wasn't a gun in the movie. I always wondered how a big robot like that could transform into that little gun. Atleast all of the others were atleast the same size when they transformed. And if you watch the movie, he does become a alien ship.

As for seeing other transformers in the next one, I would like to see the dinobots. They were always my favorite anyways. How about Jetfire?? They find him frozen in ice on the show anyways.

How about them making a Beast Wars movie?? Other then the first Transformers, this was the best spin off show of all of the transformers shows made.

Clipse man, see, in the Cartoon it was cool, him being a small lil gun, but in a full, live action movie, it just wouldn't look right and you know it. They had to make Megatron as large and in charge as everyone else when they were transformed.

Sorry bro I just can't buy into it. I mean he transformed into a gun that was like a freaking plasma cannon, how much more deadly can you be than a freaking hand cannon? And don't get me started on the GM sponsoring of the movie; I feel like one of the best things of my childhood was taken and bastardized. Granted I'll eventually watch it but I'll assure you promptly afterwards I'll be writing to Michael Bay and explaining to him how moronic he is. If this is how other movie adaptations are going to be made from my favorite 80's shows; ones that I cherish because I grew up with them, then I want no part of them.

What's next; will Thundercats come out looking like Broadways "Cats"?

Don't pin that on me, I'm blaming Michael Bay; he started it. :p

I just have one request of the next Transformers from Bay and company: More robots, less people. More fighting, less teenage love story. It's goddamn fucking Transformers, not "teenage loser gets his first hard on......oh yeah and a robot car too".

I wasnt impressed with the trex, it looked like some sloppy piece of crap compared to other bots so far. It was moving at half the speed of smell, idk i guess i expected more out of a t-rex *shrugs*
