View Full Version : The Actions of a Hero - Must Read

Because of recent events we here at Console Heroes wish to voice out upon a situation which has reared its ugly head. For no reason should any member of Console Heroes lash out and disturb the happenings of other gaming websites.

By taking it upon themselves any member who disrupts another website with such rants as the following or anything remotely similar will not only be dealt with on the site they posted on, but also here on Console Heroes.

u BITCHES! ASSES U ALL SUCK CONSOLE HEROES IS THE BEST YAH! BEST SITE EVER WHOOO! U ALL SUCK MORON RETARDS! u guys get owned by this site no u know what we ow u guys so bad everybody big left this site except for the faggot THEPANTS PARTY WHAT KINDA GAY NAME WAS THAT U ALL SUCK U CANT KILL ME CAUSE IM ALREADY INSIDE U U CANT KILL ME CAUSE IM ALREADY INSIDE YOU

From the person named in that post, most of us know the site this was posted on was X360A.org. As many of you know Console Heroes was created by former and current X360A members. I personally have friends who are Mods and Admins at this website; upon finding out that a member of Console Heroes had posted these things I was personally angry and saddened.

This site is called Console Heroes, it is called that because we want our members to not only call themselves heroes but also act like heroes. Clearly this was not an action a hero would make. Yet even heroes make mistakes and with time these mistakes become forgotten. We as a community should pride ourselves and be respectful to not only our members, but other gamers, members of other websites, and ourselves.

Now I'm not going to divulge the information as to who posted the above on X360A and if anyone reading this possibly knows who it was I hope that they keep it to themselves. If said person's name is posted that post will be deleted. Truth be told it doesn't matter who posted this, he is still a member of this site, though we don't support the actions he's made we do support him and will continue to support him in the future.

We here at Console Heroes will not stand for these kind of actions, the administration of this site views such things as disrespectful to the other sites members, our members, and members of the gaming community as a whole. All that we ask that you be respectful to your fellow members of the gaming community both here and elsewhere; such actions are the sign of true heroes.

Good to get this out as your first duty! I know who did this, but I won' say who. This despicable action should never happen again.

Maybe I am stepping out of my place but is there a terms of use section somewhere? I mean I know I haven't been here long but I appreciate what true gaming is about. I understand that trash talking comes with gaming whether it be through an in game conversation, message or post on a forum. But no one has the right to personally "attack" someone without just cause. For that matter no one should ever be permitted to "attack" anyone.

I was sadden to read this post since the post reflected x3h as a whole. Our actions not only reflect what this website represents but also our character as a person. For one to "let go" in that matter was not right in any way, shape, or form. May the correct action be taken to resolve this problem.

This despicable action should never happen again.

That it shouldn't, but always has a possibility of happening again. Granted it was irresponsible but as I said in my post the situation has been dealt with and we should support our members, even heroes fall sometimes.

I'm saddened that one of OUR members is so illiterate. :(

But good call guys, this kind of thing can't be overlooked. I hope the member in question is ready to admit he made a mistake though.

I haven't been with this site long, but i didn't think that someone from this site would do something like that. It was a bad mistake to make i hope he learned from it.

I hope the member in question is ready to admit he made a mistake though.

I'm sure he knows it wasn't a smart move at this point. Lets not focus on the fact that it was just one member, we've had a few similar issues here which we've previously nipped in the bud. This just happened to be put on a different platform.

If you know who it was, keep that to yourself; please don't post "I think I know who it was..." Good for you, but its not needed. When this member comes back to this site, and I truly hope he will come back, I want us to embrace him as a brother. We sometimes become misguided do rash things, and I do stupid stuff all the time when I'm "drunk". :p

This announcement was made to be a public stance, telling you the members and everyone who visits this website that we will not stand for any of this, particularly if it comes up on another website. Enough about how stupid the move was, that member is still a person, still a member, and still our brother.

Well, to be quite honest, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner, not from the person responsible, but rather in general. I mean, you can't control people, and every member is a representer, especially those with x3h in their name. (Not that the person who did it did have it in their name, I have no idea who it was frankly...) When you trash talk them, even in jest here, no matter how little, you are essentially doing the same.
There is no war at hand, we are not in any competition with any other site.

We are just another of many. We are Heroes though, and should act accordingly. There is no reason to even mention x360a with an ounce of hate. We are heroes and should rise above petty disputes and banter.

Obviously from just reading what the person posted on x360a you can tell they are a n00b when it comes to things like this. I'm almost certain that they meant no REAL insult towards anyone at the other site. Gah....n00bs ! When will they learn? :)

Glad to see that our site isnt banning whoever posted this

I must say that I have no clue who could have written such a horrible blight on grammar... and that if they were on this site, I would no doubt have a very hard time interpreting anything they post... Luckily I don't know anyone who's grammatical footprint matches that...

However, I'm sad to see that any of our members would stoop to such levels, literate or not. I enjoy this community for its overall maturity and hope that such acts would be frowned upon by our entire site... there's no need to behave like children, especially in a feeble attempt to prove your superiority.

Sorry I haven't accepted your chat invites. You always seem to catch me when I'm in the middle of a song and I hate quitting Rock Band.

No alienation will be taken place, is that clear to everyone? We all make mistakes, we all let emotions get the best of us and we have to go through the remorse of our actions. I personally didn't want to single you out thats why I made it very clear that I didn't want your name thrown out there as the person who did it. I wasn't using you as an example, but was using what your wrote as my example as what we don't want.

As far as I'm concerned there's no reason to feel bad or that your cast out, you're a member of this site, and a friend to us all. I should however give you an infraction for saying it was you and going against me saying not to release the members name who did it. :p

No hard feelings and don't sweat it bro, you paid your debt and now you're all good in my book. ;)

As what Clipse said, You should never feel alienated on this website. We are a tight-knit community right now and I can't think of anyone on the website who I honestly dislike. You made a mistake, but you fessed up and did your time. Welcome back to the site. This goes for every member of the site too. We are all human and make mistakes, but don't EVER feel like you are a less-deserving member than anyone else on this website.

And if anyone here read the conversation I had yesterday, I sincerely apologize as well. I didn't conduct myself as a professional and represent our website to the best of my capabilities. I apologized over there and want to apologize to all of you guys, my friends, and say that we all make mistakes. For that i'm sorry.

It's cool burner. :D

Turbo, I seen it. You were out of line but the other people were farther out of line IMO. You said some messed up things but had a perfectly good point. At least you manned up and apologized unlike some other people over there that can say what they want and get away with it..

Hey Burner don't worry man, no one here would alienate you.

Trust me, you should be really grateful that the people here are cool as shit. If you want to hear a really fucked up story involving myself, a mistake, and alienation... you could ask several members or staff of this site and they could give you an earful.

If you ever need some help with your Halo3 levels, you know who to come to ;)

In the end, what has been said and done is over with. We are live and learn and now we are here, where we belong.

All of this talk about heroes and responsibility leaves me wanting to quote Uncle Ben but damn that is way too cliche....

I am getting sick of the flack that our site is getting because of the actions of some of our members.

If you are a member of this site and "another", leave the elitism somewhere else. Posts on either site should have nothing to do with which site is better or even mention the other site. I am sick of the bickering this is causing between staff and members.

This is a new automatic ban. If you deliberating cause issues on another site because you are a member here...you will be banned for a minimum of a week.

If you are posting elsewhere and they attack this site, just PM a staff member or report them and ignore it.

Please respect this site and others. There's no need for fighting.

Alienation won't be happening from me. Sometimes you have to make a mistake in life so you know how to avoid it next time.

I felt like this thread needed a little bump in light of recent events. This one is for the new members who have joined up and might not know exactly how to act as a hero. Read the very first post, it's very helpful.
