Ok everyone. There's a brand new format up for this competition. You all have a few guidelines to follow. The competition will be difficult.

For this round of creativity, we are asking you to create a ConsoleHeroes themed image for use as a custom Dashboard image on our 360's.

This image will be static, i.e. it will appear on all blades of the Dashboard except for the marketplace blade.

Your submissions must be 1172 pixels by 720 pixels and in JPEG format in order for them to work properly with the Dashboard.

How is it possible to have custom Dashboard images? I'm glad you asked. With the help of our trusty ConsoleHeroes News Manager and Super Moderator, may I present to you a quick instruction/installation guide:

1. Any photo can be used on the Xbox 360 as a static dashboard theme. The picture you choose will be the background for all blades except the Marketplace blade. The consoles native dashboard resolution is 1172 x 720 with a JPEG format. If your image is a different size it will be automatically resized to fit these specifications; this can cause distortion.

2.To select a picture put in a cd, usb flash drive, or use a PC connected via a network that has the image you wish to use. Go to the Media Blade, select "Pictures"; select the device where the photo is located and find the image in the various folders you might have to venture through.

3. Once you find the image you wish to use as your background select it to be loaded on to the console and go through the confirmation prompts.

From here you can go to the System blade, select console settings, and then themes. You can select customize to choose guide blade backgrounds and blade trim colors as you wish.Good luck Heroes!

okay here we go, im still not too sure on it, however, if I havent changed it by closing time this is my final entry.
(ps, lighting, shading and paper ripping thing done by hand :p) - I will probably be adding another render on the fists other side but I might just delete him all together, as he gets chopped up by the blades.

Last minute entry. :)

Based on my own taste in backgrounds, you'd have to try it on the dashboard to see exactly how it works out. I reccomend using the 'Glass' dashboard trim with it, though default works too.

Dan, what did you use, a watercolor filter? I like it.
