Heres a little about them...........

Most people play videogames for their own entertainment. CharityGamers which consists of CG Freedom, CG JumpMan CG Titian CG Crazy CG CandyMan came up with the idea to get people to play to help people in need. Using the popular game Halo 3, through our efforts, so far we have raised $1600 dollars towards cancer research. All that was done in one tournament , in one day. We plan to organize more tournaments, but also donate portions of profits from other tournaments our Halo 3 team participates in. Theres only one thing missing, and it's you. Whether your a gamer or not, you can help this fun, and worthy cause, and by doing one simple thing. PLAYING VIDEOGAMES. How easy is that? We've been recognized on bungie.net, 4 radio stations in the tri-state area, and our 1st tournament brought people from 4 states. Get involved, play halo, and help a bigger cause.

Ive tried to make the teams balanced as much as i can and still give us a chance to win it with any of the three teams,
remember though its all about fun at the end of the day.

Please dont do anything foolish and refrain from smack talking as its to help promote cancer research and spread the word about it.

This is very important to the site,and we dont want our image tarnished as you will be ambassadors for the site.

Update ive just spoken to Charity Gamers and the tournament will start at 7pm Eastern.
Members will be notified by sunday evening of the teams,
this way you will all have time to get familiar to each other and kiss ass in the name of Console Heroes.

If we win ill give each member of the winning team 50 of my Hero Points each,
All people that take part get 10 Hero Points.

Because I spend much more time playing MLG and I know that there are also a lot of people who don't like to play MLG settings. It also would help anyone who had registered to play by letting them know what they were going to be playing when they arrived...

However as stated earlier, my internet is pretty flaky and I wouldn't want to be a primary, I was keeping an eye on the thread though and wanted to be added as a sub if at all possible since someone with a bad connection is preferrable to someone with no connection... I hadn't realized that the tourney was already under way and apologize.

And I would have participated under normal circumstances, as I originally posted, however my internet is not functioning normally right now :(

yeh exactly and by the time we had that semi sorted we were already down by too much, even with st1nky rizzaping them all, even when we had host they still managed to lag us out as well, it was very weird, never seen anything like it, i wouldnt go so far as to say standbying but eh it was unnatural to say the least. Sry guys for letting down the site. :sick:

Also, there was a strange thing that happened during the CTF match...when they picked up the flag, the guy who had it was running faster than everyone else...way faster...

It wasn't the lag, the fact that in both our game and Stinky's the 'flag' carrier was running much faster than the rest of the team. I'm chasing him down and he is moving away from me at a larger rate of speed than me gaining on him.

My suggestion would be to inquire as to what all the rules are, what is being used on the maps, i.e. weapons, power ups, spawn points etc.

Playing a game in a tournament is great,
but sending a message to a player you have played 24 hours later calling him a lame ass and a [censored] is down right irresponsible and ignorant.

I think its great how 1 person has to ruin things with something like this,and totally ruin an event.

Theres no way that we want to be affiliated with a site that supports racist actions like this,
the cancer research thing is fantastic,the racism isnt.
