Old Spice Challenge: Console Heroes x3H Challenge - Win $50 Best Buy Giftcard!!!

Heylo everyone,

I made an Old Spice Challenge solely for forum members of this site. The time period is two weeks and the prize is going to be $50 Best Buy card.

Here are the rules:

1 - You must be a member of this forum
2 - Your gamer score must be above 20,000.
3 - I would prefer if people did not use Avatar in this challenge but I can't control what games you play.

Since you changed your gamer tag, that might affect your log in name. Maybe try using your other tag (not sure which one you were trying to use to log in).

Yeah Turbo. I changed my tag, contacted them, and they transfered all my info. Good gys there. It is in their FAQ on what happens when you change your GT.

Tha being said, NO AVATAR. It's a cheap 1000. I'll allow 2K6 shit (even tho I hate them), but you need to play for at least a few hours for 1000 pts, not 2 mins 40 seconds....Everyone else agree? Let's try and set that rule in place, otherwise guys like Tripl and I will have almost no shot....

I need to show my ignorance for a quick second...how does this contest work? I know I'm not eligible, but I wanted to know more about it and whether or not people actually get these rewards. It seems legit, but has anyone here personally gotten any rewards in the past?

I did check on the 360voice site for info on how these things run, but missed an important piece of info. Is there an ending GS?

They tell you the:
1) # of required participants to start, 10
2) Length of time the contest will run, 14 days

But is there not an end GS? I participated in the 1st Old Spice Challenge (sponsored by MS)...the way it ran was you need to get XX amount of GS in this XX amount of time.

The way 360voice runs this contest looks like you need to be the person with the most amount of new GS at the end of 14 days?
Is that right or am I missing something?

The person with the biggest gain wins. I was in a 30 day one with 15 people for $100 and there was Stallion (182K) and a few others well over that mark, and the guy who won started with 21 and finished with 37K. It's the biggest gain, not the most overall points.

This IS legit, as I know people who have won and have gotten their rewards. Once this one is over, Anti or I will be running another one for anyone else who wants to join.

The only requirements from this website are that you have a Gold account and are a member of the United States. Start or end GS doesn't matter. The number of people can change and is set by the person running it. You can run it with 5 people for $25 or 15 people for $100 but then the length changes too. 15 people runs 30 days, whereas 5 people runs 7 days..

I talked to Trapper a couple of days ago and he said the reason why it takes so long is that the sponsors want to verify the win and a bunch of other stuff. Probably to make sure its not like 1 person with 5 or 10 gold accounts perhaps. I don't know.

It's biggest GS gain in XX time frame...NOT a race to increase your GS by XX amount. (as it was in the very first MS sponsored Old Spice Challenge)

Well my f-ing internet is still down. It worked for like a day and then it went down last night at like 8pm. Someone is supposed to come and check the line outside or something later today. I am hoping to get it back soon. I am having withdrawls from it.

As far as updating my score, if they don't get it fixed today, I will go over to either Turbos, Mavrens, or Vkeepers place and update it there. I have gotten more points. Nothing close to Turbos or lucid but nonetheless I have increased.

Just made it. I had a long list to choose from. I was particularly interested in the 8000 MS Points and the HD-DVD Player. I picked the $100 for Best Buy though because it is much more valuable price wise than the points, and the HD-DVD may not appeal to many.
