First of all, I have a laptop running at 1200x800, hooked up to a 22" Hanns-G @ 1680x1050.

Onto the desktop!

I have Windows Blinds, with the GT3 OS Theme for my OS Skin and a Super Mario Brothers 3 skin for Firefox (boo IE!), found via google.


As far as desktop functionality...

Stardock's Object Dock, as the Mac-esque launcher bar(s).
Yahoo! Widgets, and note the horrible stock performance for the gaming industry... :(
Stickypad, for writing down things that need to be... written down. My desk is rather full, so I don't have room for a notepad.

look on your keyboard and press print screen or PrtSc and then open paint and press paste - save the picture then upload it to imageshack.us (http://www.imageshack.us) then copy the direct link option and post in this thread, then click on the http://x3h.com/forums/images/greenfox/editor/insertimage.gif button and put the link it gives you in there

I like to keep the clutter to a minimum, and the desktop calendar has been being used for the past few months. Its come in really handy for all my doctor, lawyer, and therapy appointments. I would've missed half of them without it! :D

My PC doesn't "support" that feature:p That's what I get for getting a Gateway.

Of course it supports that feature...it's a function of Windows, not your hardware manufacturer. EVERY Windows will do a screen capture.

If you're just wanting to take screen of the current window...click on it and then hit Alt+Prt Scr, then paste into mspaint.exe(quick way to open it is Windows Key+R and then type mspaint.exe)

Guitar Hero Explorer is the app that lets me mod Gh 1/2/80s for my modded ps2. The folder "Guitar Hero Stuff" is all the modded Gh3 stuff which, as of now, is a colossal pain in the :censored:

FoF sucks more than anything, if i want different songs, i put them in GH2.

They aren't really pre designed "Themes," they are just personal theme's we created ourselves using a variety of Icon changes, wallpaper changes, and dock changes. You will need a program such as Candybar to edit these settings.

From there you do Mac OS Icon searches. Now one thing I will not is that not a lot of docks that you will find will work with OS X 10.4. You essentially just need to search to find the icons and docks to meet your preference.

I also have an "Asian" theme that I use often with the icons, dock and Wallpaper. Very nice.

There are applications out there like http://www.stardock.com/ that let you customize just about every aspect of your desktop.

Beware however, that these come at the expense of reliability and increased resource usage.

It depends. I currently use Windowblinds, ObjectDock Plus, Rainlendar 2(not the same company but have themes), and TweakUI((not the same company but have themes). I also have(but don't use much) Object Desktop which DRASTICALLY slows down your computer if not handled properly. It also depends on your system specs really.

They're minimalist which I think looks great in combination with a like background. I agree they don't go together perfectly there but by themselves, I like them. I agree though, the background is great. If you took that shot yourself JJ, you've got a good eye for photography.

Well most of the icons came from the albook sets at iconfactory (http://iconfactory.com/freeware) but I made EyeTV, Mojo, IshowU and Skype myself in photoshop with a blank tile that was in one of the sets.

I downloaded the bar on the bottom a long time ago so I forget where I got that from. Sorry, but I have seen some other members on here who have it so maybe they can be of more assistance. As for the taskbar being on top, just drag it from the bottom to the top. Hope this helps.


Update- I got a new Web Browser. So instead of Mozilla, I now use something else. Which I think is much better so far. Much faster.

Hey Khaos and anyone else looking to get the dockbar on the bottom of their desktop as seen in my picture.
Go HERE (http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/)
And download it.
Then drag and drop icons from the desktop to the dock and you should be good.

I am a huge Astros fan but I have to agree, that is one of the sickest background I have seen. Can I ask where you got it from as my friend loves the Cards. He would be so happy if I showed him it.
Also, the Mac style bar on the bottom just keeps things neat for me. Instead of having 20 shortcuts around my desktop, I like it neat.
