Forum Username Changes

Due to the high volume of Heroes wanting to change their usernames, we have to make a few changes. While I have no problem doing this...I think we need to make it a little more worthwhile HP wise. Therefore, we've raised the HP cost for the change to 50.

i really dont think you should be charged at all assuming you only change your name once a year or every six months or something. i can see charging the people who change their name every other week. not naming anyone (XNATERZX aka XNATERZX x3h aka DomINATE x3h).

im not even saying this because i want to change my name, just voicing my oppinion. although i did capitolize my name wrong when i registered... :p

I have changed it for you but here's a little piece of advice from me.

People usually get annoyed when someone on their friends list changes their username 20 times a month. It's almost got me to delete you from there as I get tired of all the M2AF messages. That being said...it carries to the forums as well. Please don't feel that you need to change your forum username every time you change your gamertag.

That's my main concern when changing names is that people don't know it's you anymore, kind of the same with GT. Although you could send out a M2AF, I'm known by everyone as LJ. Know what I mean?

My thoughts exactly. I still think you should only be allowed to change your forum name if you misspelled it, not change it to something altogether.

I now drive a BMW, not a VW but I'm not changing my name from Turbo VDuB 44 to Turbo BMW 44....:rolleyes:

lol i got what you guys are saying but i've only changed my GT twice from ex0t1cx end which i hated because of all the numbers lol and this is the first time changing my forum username and it's good to stay ;)

the main reason i wanted to change my username is because for refferals its kinda weird when people join but dont now my name is Da Fluffy bunny thats why i hated it lol

If I understood that sentence correctly I'd have to say you're wrong. I myself NEVER check how much HP someone has (besides SNYPER), and I only know a rough estimate of (Maybe everyone's withn 300 posts) of everyone's post count (Hell, I don't even know my own). Azeron's idea is brilliant IMO, and if they Subscribe just make it on the second line.

The second line is assigned by your usergroup status.


How about a thread under FAQ's or something that we edit and list all of the changes?

I think that if you really want to have your name changed you can stand having your title taken over for a short amount of time.

A thread isn't a bad idea, but not really immediate enough if you're reading someone's post and are trying to remember wtf they are.
