With the revamped version of Turok apparently not shipping out until next week, you still have a little time to decide if you're going to be able to take the dino-killing brute back into your life. Now, you non-PS3 gamers have been given the tools to do so, with the demo for the game arriving on Xbox Live Marketplace. You PS3 players have already had the chance to take it for a spin.

So, here's what we need to know: What's the verdict? Are you going to be able to give Turok another chance to win you over? Or is the new effort too little too late?

As I can see by your new avatar:p

I am looking forward to it too. Never trust an overall product by some unfinished bundle of garbage. Look at Burnout: Paradise, I heard that the demo was horrendous, yet the game is one of the best games in the racing genre to date.

Exactly what I'm doing XD

Only fun I had in the demo was trying to beat it with only my knife. That was fun up until there were baddies up on hills I couldn't reach.

Eh, I didn't really like the demo..

The aiming and shooting was a little too hard IMO..

It felt like timeshift with dinosaurs and no time powers..

I'm hearing a bunch of mixed stuff about it. Can't be as bad as Turok: Evolution, can it?

I'll have to check out the demo before I decide to buy it or not. Can't wait for DMC4, been a huge fan of that series since it's start, but the Turok gameplay videos sure looked tight.

Just got done playing the demo. I am disappointed. :( I really liked Turok 1 and 2 on the N64. I had to turn the sensitivity all the way down. The knife is way too powerful. I will be Gameflying this game. Bow FTW!

A demo is a demo. Anyone ever play the Ninty-Nine Nights demo? That was fun and a great demo, but was the game worth a shit? Hell no, that game blows hardcore. You just can't take demos all too seriously to be honest; look at the DMC 4 demo, that was so-so at best.

As for Turok I have to be optimistic, I have a feeling the story will be great and hopefully the game play will match. Either way I'll let you know tomorrow after I get it. :p

I don't get it. I was very excited to play the demo so I could see how the game is played. I've always loved Turok and was pretty stoked about the release of this game. Sadly, it says I'm not allowed to download this demo.

I'm 17 years old, and I could run over to Best Buy and purchase the game 'legally' if you will, but I still can't download the demo.

What gives?!

OXM gives it the cover and it gets a 7 out of 10.
Personally I am not going to buy it since I never played any game from the turok series.

I had the same problem. Make a free silver account or hell if you have the 1 month free do that. Then enter your name over 18. That's how I got past teh gayness.

I know to do that. I'm just not going to. I'll just spend $60 bucks on the fuckin' thing. I hate it. I shouldn't have to create another account and go through all that bullshit to play a game I should rightfully be able to play. It makes no sense.

Someone who finally agrees with me. They told me to make a silver account too, but I said :censored: no. I am with you. It doesn't make sense if the option is given in Xbox Live Settings.

Just got done playing the demo earlier today, and I have to say that it was nothing special to me. I have seen everything before. One thing that really pissed me off was every time you would get hit by a dinosaur, you will be knocked on your back. Other than that I have to say that it was okay, just nothing fantastic about it.
