Completion Badge Maximums for Glitched Games

This thread is to keep track of games that have glitched achievements causing the maximum score allowed to be lower than what the game actually shows. The purpose is to help members know if they can request a completion badge for glitched games. Glitches that make this list that are later fixed by Microsoft or the game developer will be removed and the maximum score may change and result in the loss of the badge. Please discuss other known glitched games or glitches that were fixed on this list.

I believe the max you can get now in NBA Live 06 is 960 since the servers aren't up to play online anymore. At least I wasn't able to do it a month or so ago when I tried to finish that game up.

But were you searching for just any game or did you have someone you were boosting with make a game and you were trying to get into it?

Right--I didn't have anyone boosting with me so it's possible the servers are still up but there wasn't anyone playing. I thought I heard that EA had shut down all the servers for 2006 games though.

I believe Rapala Tournament Fishing is glitched with only 720 available. 5 achievements are glitched.

For NBA Live 06, it does look like EA has taken down those servers as there are lots of complaints in the xbox forums (NBA Live 07 forum as the 06 forum is already gone) so it does appear that 960 is the current maximum for that game.

As for Rapala Tournament Fishing, it does appear to have 5 glitched achievements and with the game being out since April 2007 at this point it doesn't look likely to be patched, but this one could change in the future. Thanks for the tip on this one Killer, I didn't know about it.

Pretty much there are some achievements that cannot be unlocked because they are broken by the game developer. The hope is they will eventually be fixed by the developer (Texas Hold Em, Outpost Kaloki X, Call of Juarez, Two Worlds are games that were later fixed) but sometimes the developer doesn't do anything (EA is a good example!)

So, the maximum possible gamerscore for some games is lower. The only way you will see someone with these achievements is if they have hacked their card somehow.

Ok. To end a discussion on a subject here, there also needs to be some things that you guys are aware of.

For College Hoops 2k7 - It was possible to be in that tournament. Granted, not a lot of people were in it, and if you were to buy the game now, you wouldn't be able to. But you COULD have gotten it, and it is not glitched, just merely the time has come and gone. So someone would only be eligible for that Completion Badge if they had the 950gs that is NOT glitched.

NBA Live 06 - Similar to above, the online achievement WAS possible. 960 does or 990 whichever it is, is not completion of the game. Awarding someone for doing that is a slap in the face to those that have the full 1000. It WAS possible, so it's not glitched.

Rapala - The general rule of thumb we follow when awarding badges is 1 year. Once the game has been out for 1 year, and the achievements are still glitched, then we will begin issuing on that game for the glitched amount.

Tiger Woods 06 - The game would be 790, if one of the online achievements was possible. Any achievement that was possible, and just because the servers are now shut down does not automatically mean that the score without that achievement is the new maximum.

NHL 2k8 - Same rule for Rapala, 1 year from release date, then the achievements that are not possible will result in a CB for those that have the maximum possible score.


Rewarding someone for completing the game to the full maximum score, then awarding it to someone who completed only a portion of it is not fair. It's like giving someone without XBOX Live the completion badge for Gears of War because they gained all the offline achievements because thats all they can get. There achievements were possible.

I'm sorry. I totally forgot about the 1 year from release rule. I did ask for NHL 2K8 and received it, and technically shouldn't be eligible for this until Sept 2008.

I added in a future glitched badge section for games with current glitches but are still too new for badges as well.

Staff...please remember these things as we award badges.

I just removed the badge from 2 different people.



The one year from release rule is there to make it fair. I don't want to hand the badge out to all these people for completing a game then take it away as soon as the points are made available.

Well as far as CH2K7 I'd like to see a response from a legit complete all legacy goals ach. I personally spent 100+ hrs and gave up on the lifetime contract goal alone. Another friend on my list spent well over 300 hrs trying to complete the same goal. He fianlly gave up assuming it was glitched as well.

Thanks for clearing that up. I had a good idea that it was probably that but since glitched is threw around a lot these days I wasn't 100% sure.

Im playing madden 07 at the moment and it is only possible for me to achieve 990 points as the last 10 points is for importing a draft class from NCAA 07 which is impossible for me as that game never got a PAL release.

So as it is not possible for european gamers to get that achievement would i get a completion badge if i obtained the 990 points???

Rapala Fishing moved to current glitched games as it's now been a full year and the achievements are still glitched. Go get that fishing badge!

When was medal of honor airborne released? The reason why I am asking is because it has a glitched 0 point achievement. Victory medal ( the one where you have to come first on all types of maps) is glitched. It originally was attainable but the first update for that game apparently mucked up that achievement. So the only people who have this achievement are the ones who got it before this update. I have come first on all the maps at least twice and have not got it. I have also come first on all the maps when a supposed update was meant to fix the problem, but clearly it didnt. There are people on the leaderboard who have over 10000 kills on that game and dont have the achievement. It is very unlikely that they would not of come first on all the maps and not got the achievement as there is only 6 maps.

I am posting this because I realise to get that completion badge you have to have all the achievements for that game including 0 point ones, but if they are glitched we have to wait a year after the game is released to see if they fix the problem.

Alaskan Storm (Deadliest Catch ) is glitched at 975 as you cannot get the 25 pt achievement for dropping 50 pots in a season. This game was released in mid june i believe.

It does sound like the developer plans on releasing a patch so hopefully I'll be removing this game from this list shortly. I haven't played this yet so if a patch is released feel free to post on here to remind me.

And anyway that wouldn't go on the "Glitched List" because it was once unlockable, just not anymore.

I agree. I think a better example is Kane & Lynch, which has a 0 point achievement for being ranked #1 in ranked matches and one for being ranked #2.

0 point achievements are pointless, and only go for the completionists who like to have every achievement, no matter what. In the GS criteria, you have fulfilled the requirements for the completion badge here. Hope that clears things up.

Actually 360Voice does consider having all 1000 points a completion and do not include the zero point achievements towards their ## Completion Badge. They do not however handle glitched games at all, so like no one has NHL 2K7 completed, etc.

But that's a different kind of glitch. The full points are still possible if you do the game correctly. In other words, a full 1250 is feasible. Therefore, it's not glitched in a sense to where we have to take it into consideration.

Awesome, thanks for the news Blind Rage. I checked the xbox forums and confirmed a patch has been released and you can legitimately obtain the 1000 points in that game now. I'm removing it from the future glitched games list.

Edited the original topic to include Hellboy as there are 4 secret achievements that cannot be unlocked until the DLC is released... and it's hard to say if it will ever be released at this point! So, I've added a placeholder for it as a "future glitched game".

I've destroyed well over 200 objects with grenades but you would have no idea. yea i had completed all the dlc achievements and then i was notified that by doing so i would not be able to unlock single player master. it had nothing to do with being able to do it or not just a matter of it being glitched.

Has anyone covered "Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2"? It only has a POSSIBLE 705 as the remaining achievement points were never created. And the original Condemned. Possible 970 and no more. Although they aren't nessesaraily glitched, they were just never created.

For those games, that is the maximum score with 100% of the achievements. This thread is more for games that have achievements that are available but cannot be unlocked. So if you have 705 in LoTR or 970 in Condemned, you still get badges.

I want to reissue the stance on GRAW 2. There is actually a thread about it on Ubisoft's forums. I unlocked the achievements in the wrong order so I will never get the 1250 on it.

I know its not a "glitch" glitch but it is a rescriction in me being able to finish it. I haven't played the game to get the 1200/1250 in it since Kimi at ubisoft told me I can't get the last 50.

I know it blows...but the point is it was possible. Same thing goes for games that lose their server or something. The people that don't play until after the server goes down can never get a completion badge.
