My Story
When XP came out it was the shit, but after a while I began to crave more. An OS that would take advantage of my PC investments (Graphics Cards etc.) Well it was awesome... at first. After a while the flaws reared their disgusting slimy head. My PC was losing the spunk it had under the old OS and I was running at half the FPS I used to in games. Now at this point anyone would have said screw it XP ima commin' home but no I stayed true. Bad idea. I put about 400$ worth of upgrades to get my PC to run vista but performance was still crappy and inconsistent. So long story short I got XP back and my computer runs like an illegal crossing the Rio Grande .
The End

Well what I really made this thread for was to find out other experiences with Vista. Maybe even some advice for someone who may want to return to the OS, like what a computer may need.

Thats how I feel.

But really theres no need for words.

Vista < XP

Simple and plus I only bought Vista so I could get achievements for Halo 2 Vista.

So now I have both of them installed on my computer, but XP is tha shiz =]

I love my Vista and have never looked back. In fact, I can't stand running XP anymore.

I can't wait until I migrate my company over to our new software so I can replace all of our machines with Vista.

lol, I'm not sure, but I believe there are a few instances in the OP where XP is referenced when what was intended was Vista... it makes a fair bit more sense that way at least :)

And yeah I love my Vista... I hate having to use the XP machines at the office, I get a lot more bugs and issues than i do at home... I'm not sure but I've heard a lot of complaints from people that bought the standard home package... I have Ultimate and have never had a problem... but I also have a machine built for it... not sure if that matters though :D
